Moon's Kitchen Under New Ownership!

sized Moons PurchaseBob Dempsey and Lisa Kugel are the proud new owners of Moon’s Kitchen and CafĂ©.  Married for 4 years, together for
8; Bob and Lisa feel their good fortune led them to Moon’s Kitchen.  It has always been Bob’s dream to own his own restaurant. Bob moved from New Jersey to Idaho in 2000 for love! Lisa feels lucky to have the opportunity to work with her husband and best friend. The feeling of family and community was of ultimate importance to both Bob and Lisa in their search to purchase a local restaurant. Lisa having lived in Idaho since 1980 with 20 years in Sales and Marketing is thrilled to have found such a perfect fit. The opportunity to be a part of Moon’s Kitchen’s history is quite an honor for this couple. There are some exciting changes ahead. Knowing that the loyal customers of Moon’s want to know the low down on what is planned, Bob and Lisa welcome your questions and comments.

Yes, there will be changes to the menu. The current menu will continue with some new additions.  Watch for a new limited Dinner and Dinner To Go Menu. No, they have no plans to become an expensive BODO restaurant. We will keep the home style cooking. Of course Moon’s Famous Milkshakes will continue to delight local and visiting patrons!

A full renovation of Moon’s Kitchen will begin in April of 2008. The kitchen will be expanded to more than twice its current size. The Half Moon Gift Shop will be closing and move out of the building. Seating will be expanded to the front of the building. Get ready for Beer and Wine in February!

We would like your comments regarding our planned remodel of Moon’s. FEAR NOT, they will keep the “Nostalgic” ambiance of Moon’s! One big question being wrestled with is the counter. The counter at Moon’s was introduced to the Kitchen in 1961. We plan to have a counter with the original stools no matter what. The current counter, however, is pretty beat up. We would like to replace the counter top. Do you feel we should keep the original counter after renovation? Do you feel that it is time to rebuild the counter which may mean a new color scheme?

Please send us your comments. We really are listening. Please send us your comments. We really are listening. You can e-mail us at lisakugel@msn.com or call us at 208-385-0472.
